The concept

The project was born in 2017 from an exchange of ideas and desires of a small circle of friends. What unites them is the reality of being natives of a region, the Italian Grisons, which they left even as teenagers to pursue their studies. They have been living now for several years scattered in Switzerland and at times abroad, but with one foot always rooted in the valley of his birth. The goal of the project is to create a cultural event that expresses this special reality, an opportunity to get together and share the endless spectacles of these mountains and taste their delicious products.

For years we have strived to offer you a quality event with music, culture and local products, while keeping prices affordable. However, costs increase every year. Therefore, we are asking you for a small contribution so that we can offer you a quality music program, each offering will go directly to support the artists and help us to keep this unique experience going for a long time. Donations Openair Cavaglia

Despite the inevitable impact brought about by holding such an event, Openair Cavaglia’s concept focuses on minimizing its negative footprint on the natural environment, sorting waste disposal, using reusable tableware or composed of natural materials, and raising public awareness of using public or shared transportation.

The festival program consists of two evenings of live music. After the concerts, the jam session and DJ sets follow in parallel. The days are punctuated by ateliers and artistic performances of various kinds.

In 2019, the Cultural Commission of the municipality of Poschiavo honored the association 5SociSpars creator of the event with a cultural prize of encouragement. This gesture is evidence of the public recognition of the association’s initiative, which is appreciated by the local people as it promotes local gastronomic and scenic offerings and cultural and intergenerational encounters.
